How to Add Terms and Conditions to Systeme.io Pages and Checkout
Systeme.io lets you expose terms through the order-form flow and link to a dedicated information page elsewhere in a funnel. The legal wording itself still needs to match your real business and offer.

Keep the legal text consistent with the offer the customer is actually buying
Systeme.io gives you places to display terms, but the platform does not make generic legal wording automatically correct for your business. Your terms need to reflect the product, payment model, access conditions and obligations that actually apply.
Treat this page as implementation guidance rather than legal advice. If the legal wording itself is uncertain, get appropriate professional guidance for the countries and customers your business serves before publishing it.
Manage the checkout terms from the payment settings
Systeme.io's current help guide directs users to Settings and Payment settings to edit the terms-and-conditions text used for order forms. Centralizing the checkout wording makes it easier to keep the same version across payment pages.
After editing the text, save the settings and reopen the relevant checkout page. Verify that the wording shown to the buyer is the current version rather than assuming the account-level change is visible everywhere.
Display the terms through the order-form popup
On an order form, the documented method uses a popup containing the terms-and-conditions text. This lets the customer review the information without leaving the checkout flow entirely.
Check the popup on a phone as well as a desktop browser. The text needs to remain readable, the close action must be obvious and the popup must not hide or break the purchase controls once the visitor returns to the order form.
Create a dedicated information page for sales and opt-in pages
For pages that are not order forms, Systeme.io recommends creating an Info page containing the terms and then linking to that page from the relevant sales, capture or public pages.
Place the link where a visitor can reasonably find it, commonly in the footer or another persistent legal-information area. The link should be accessible without becoming the dominant visual element on a page whose primary job is to explain the offer.
Check price, billing, access and refund language against the checkout
The sales page, checkout and legal information should describe the same commercial reality. Compare the displayed price, number of payments, renewal behavior, access duration, refund conditions and seller information across the entire path.
Inconsistency creates support requests and can damage trust at the moment of purchase. Review the legal links whenever you change a price plan, subscription structure, guarantee or delivery model.
Retest every legal link after a major offer change
Open the offer as a logged-out visitor and follow every terms link from desktop and mobile. Confirm that the correct document opens, the text is current and the buyer can return to the checkout without losing progress.
Repeat this check after redesigns and funnel duplications. Legal pages are easy to overlook because they sit outside the main conversion path, but a stale or broken link is most visible when a cautious buyer is already looking for reassurance.
Check these four signals.
✓The terms match the current price and billing model
✓Checkout and sales-page promises are consistent
✓Legal links remain usable on mobile
✓The wording has been reviewed after major offer changes
